Hotspot Honeymoon over? asks Unstrung of many research analysts...in case you have not read the sister (brother?) blog, the "WiFi hotpost" business model (there's an oxymoron!) is going the way of  pets.com.  Of course, WiFi on the other hand is heading the way of Pets - one in almost every home.

Meanwhile, Vonage presses forward with more VoIP services.  John Dvorak's recent comments on PC Magazine has some comments on it.  So much of telecom pricing and regulations are distance rated - ala Long Distance, LATA boundaries,  etc.  Of course that's irrelevant now, but old thinking dies hard.  One amusing comment he made was "Trick of note. Although the company does not encourage this, I have a friend in Paris using the system with a U.S. phone number. The possibilities are endless"
